Top 5 Film & Television Apps on Android in Cyprus Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the performance of the top five Film & Television apps on the Android platform in Cyprus showcased interesting trends in downloads and revenue, according to Sensor Tower.

Crunchyroll experienced a fluctuating weekly revenue trend throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately $467 in late December, it saw a decline to $84 by late January before slightly recovering to $109 by the end of March. Weekly downloads for the app varied, peaking at 76 in the first week of January and ending the quarter with 71 downloads in the final week of March.

Viki: Asian Dramas & Movies had a significant drop in weekly revenue from $338 at the end of December to $29 in late February. However, it bounced back to $69 by the end of March. The app's weekly downloads showed a moderate increase, starting from 51 in late December and reaching 54 in the third week of March, before slightly dropping to 43 by the end of the quarter.

AntenaPlay.ro saw its weekly revenue decrease from $186 in late December to $30 by the end of March. Weekly downloads for the app were inconsistent, starting at 15 in the last week of December, peaking at 25 in late February, and then dropping to zero by the end of March.

Gaia: Streaming Consciousness had a notable revenue spike in early January, reaching $106 before declining to $17 by late March. The app’s weekly downloads were relatively low and stable, starting at six in late December and ending with four downloads in the final week of March.

PREMIER - Сериалы, фильмы, шоу had a declining revenue trend throughout the quarter, starting at $203 in late December and dropping to $34 by the end of March. The app did not record any significant download activity during this period.
